Mensh Order — Honest Food

The Word Behind the Dish

Why Mensh?

Mensh (מענטש) — Yiddish. A person of character, integrity, and decency.

The highest compliment in Yiddish culture is not "he's rich" or "he's clever." It's "er iz a mensh" — he is a person. Meaning: he has honor. He does what's right even when no one is watching.

In English, people say "be a mensch" — but most don't know the word is Yiddish, brought to America by Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe. It slipped quietly into the language and stayed.

At Oy Pizza, the Mensh Order is food that lives by the same values. Honest ingredients. Honest portions. Honest price. Nothing hidden, nothing inflated. Just good food from a good kitchen.
