WHAT TO SUBMIT

A dish or drink you'd actually order.

A real menu idea. Something the OyPizza kitchen could plausibly cook. From any culture, any holiday, any family. The brand thesis is holiday food, every day — so a Diwali sweet, a Eid biriyani, a Lunar New Year noodle, a Hanukkah latke variation, a Ramadan iftar plate, a Christmas roast — all of those are in scope.

Drinks count too. The masala chai your aunt makes, the agua fresca from the corner of your block, the coffee preparation your country argues about. The drinks shelf is shorter than the food menu and has more room.

Real ideas, not joke names. For joke names go to OyVey. For songs about a dish go to Talent. This department is for the kitchen.

HOW VOTING WORKS

Submit. Vote. The kitchen builds what wins.

Submit a dish: name, culture or holiday it's from, a description, an image (AI-generated welcome), and one line on why it matters to you.

Other members vote I'd order this. Founder Badge holders' votes count for slightly more. The leaderboard updates live. Top of the week gets featured. The kitchen pulls from the leaderboard each month and builds the dishes that have momentum.

Built dishes get a permanent slot on the menu, with the submitter's name on the dish page and a Founder credit if applicable. Your idea, your name on the dish.

Before you submit

What happens to your dish idea.

By submitting your dish or drink idea, you're giving OyPizza permission to:

Make it. Cook it, refine it, change ingredients, scale the recipe.
Serve it. Add it to the menu, name it, price it, sell it.
Modify it. Tweak it, cross it with another idea, give it a different name than the one you suggested.
Credit you. On the dish page, with your handle and your story.

There are no royalties or revenue shares — that's not how this works. The exchange is: you give us the idea, we put it on the menu (if it wins), and your name lives on the page next to the dish.

If that exchange doesn't feel right, please don't submit. No hard feelings. The leaderboard is open for voting either way, and you keep your Founder Badge.

FAQ

Q: Will I get paid if my dish hits the menu? A: No royalties. We credit you on the page, that's the deal.
Q: Can you change my recipe? A: Yes — the kitchen has full creative control once a dish wins.
Q: Can I use the same idea elsewhere? A: It's your idea. Submitting to OyPizza doesn't make it not your idea. We just have permission to use it on our menu.
Q: Can I take my submission down? A: Before it's voted onto the menu, yes. After it's been built and is selling, no — but we'll always credit you.

A specific story

"My grandmother made this every Friday before sundown" hits harder than "a Friday night dish." Be specific. Tell us where it lives in your life.

A clear plate

We need to know what's on it. Describe the components. If you have an image, upload it. AI-generated mockups are completely fine — we'd rather see your vision than guess at it.

A reason it belongs at OyPizza

One sentence on why this dish fits the OyPizza thesis. Holiday food from a tradition we don't currently cover. A drink from a country we haven't put on the menu. A version of an existing dish that nobody has seen on a Manhattan menu.
