COMMUNITY · OYPIZZA GOT TALENT
What did OyPizza make you want to make?
A song. A poem. An audio scene. A drawing. A photograph. A spoken-word piece. Anything sincere and creative, made about us, in any format, with any tool, in any style.
AI-assisted is welcome at every step. So is a phone-quality voice memo. So is a watercolor on a napkin. The leaderboard doesn't care how you made it — only whether it moves someone.
THE SONGBOOK
Songs RIGLI wrote, songs the community covers.
The Songbook is the canon — the original OyPizza songs RIGLI writes, plus the community's covers and reinterpretations of them. New canon lands every holiday and every season. New covers land whenever you submit one.
It starts with one song. "OyPizza" by RIGLI. Released, then re-arranged for Jewish: The Musical. Same lyrics, different sound. Both are right.

SUBMIT A SONG
Three doors. Same Songbook.
01
AI Path
ChatGPT or Claude writes the lyrics. Suno renders the music. You hit submit. Five minutes, no instrument, no music background. Most songs we expect to see in the first month come through this door.

02
Recording Path
You wrote it. You recorded it. Phone-quality is fine. Studio-quality is fine. Anything in between is fine. Audio file or external link.
Submit a recording →
03
Cover Path
Pick a song from the Songbook. Cover it in any style — re-arrange, re-record, remix, sing it differently. That's the whole brand thesis: same lyrics, different sound, both are right.
Browse the Songbook →
All three doors open the same form. Pick the one that fits where you are.
ANY STYLE
A folk ballad and a synth-pop banger have the same chance.
The leaderboard doesn't reward genre. It rewards did this move someone. A klezmer waltz wins on the same axis a lo-fi beat wins on. A children's song wins on the same axis a hip-hop verse wins on. The Songbook has space for all of it.
Style is your call. Sounds good is the only filter.
If you don't have a song
Two tools. Five minutes. A finished song.
Step 1 — Write the lyrics with AI. Open ChatGPT or Claude. Type something like "Write song lyrics about ordering Pastrami Origami on a Tuesday at OyPizza, three verses and a chorus, in the voice of someone who's been a regular for ten years." Hit enter. Edit a few lines if you want. Lyrics done.
Step 2 — Make the music with AI. Open suno.com. Paste the lyrics into Suno's lyrics field. Pick a style — folk, hip-hop, synth-pop, klezmer, lo-fi, gospel, anything that sounds good to you. Hit generate. A full song with vocals comes back.
Submit. Upload the file or paste the Suno link. Done.
No instrument needed. No music background needed. No writing background needed. AI-assisted, AI-written, AI-rendered — equal footing with anything recorded by hand.
Pasteable starter prompt
Write song lyrics about [DISH OR HOLIDAY] at OyPizza — a Yiddish-flavored, multi-cultural deli concept in Manhattan. Three verses, one chorus, repeat the chorus. Tone: warm, communal, a little funny, sincere about food as belonging. Voice: a regular customer, not an outsider. Don't rhyme if it sounds forced. Make the chorus singable.
Replace [DISH OR HOLIDAY] with whatever you want the song to be about. Select all, copy, paste into ChatGPT or Claude.
Three external tools, three new tabs. Other AI tools work too — these are the easiest to start with.
OTHER FORMATS
Talent isn't only songs.
🎵
A song
Original or cover. AI-assisted, human-recorded, or both. Any style — a deli ballad, a synth-pop banger, a klezmer waltz, a hip-hop verse, a children's song, a hymn. If it sounds good and it's about OyPizza, it works. Submit the audio file or the link.
📝
Spoken word or a monologue
Two minutes. A piece you wrote about a meal, a holiday, a moment that OyPizza reminded you of. Read it out loud, record on your phone, upload.
🎙️
An audio recording
"Imagine being on a date at OyPizza" narrated as a one-minute scene. A recording of your family at dinner with permission. The sound of laughter from a Friday night. Audio doesn't need to be perfect. The feeling does.
🎨
Visual art
A drawing, a painting, a digital illustration, a collage. Of the brand, the food, the idea. Hand-made or AI-assisted. Both fine.
📷
Photography
Of food at home you made because OyPizza put the idea in your head. Of your grandmother's table. Of your block. Of the world OyPizza is part of.
💭
Anything we haven't thought of
A short story. A poem. A choreographed clip. A field recording. The submission form has a "something else" option for a reason. Surprise us.
Your rights
OyPizza takes zero ownership of what you submit.
Your song stays your song. Your spoken word stays your spoken word. Your art stays your art. We feature what the community elevates — that's the whole role we play. We don't license it, we don't claim it, we don't put it on merch without asking.
Release it on Spotify. Put it on Bandcamp. Sell prints. Use it in your demo reel. None of that requires our permission, and none of it costs you a thing here.
If we want to do something more with it — pay for placement in a campaign, license it for the Manhattan venue, press it onto a record — we ask first, separately, and you keep all the leverage.
FAQ
- Q: Do you take my song? A: No.
- Q: Can I release it on Spotify? A: Yes, anytime, no permission needed.
- Q: Can I take it down later? A: Yes — email us and it's gone.
- Q: What if you want to use it in a campaign? A: We ask separately and pay if it's commercial.
HOW VOTING WORKS
Submit. Community votes. Top creative gets featured.
Submit any format. Title, format type, file or text or external link, one line on creative intent. Talent submissions go live immediately, take-down on report.
Members vote and react. Founder Badge holders' votes count for slightly more. Top of the week gets surfaced — on social, on the newsletter, in the music we play in the dining room, on the wall at the Manhattan venue when it opens.
We feature what the community elevates. Then the community gets louder.
